These denim bermuda shorts are made from decent quality fabric, with good workmanship. The stitching is quite prominent, including the hem. Stitching about 1 1/4" above the end of the pant leg is visible. I did not notice it on the product page. The stitching is a nice touch, but I don't think you'll wear these with heels. They're snazzier than Lee, Wrangler, Levi's, etc., but not that dressy.
I really do like these and probably could have sized down. These are marked "slim fit." I also purchased Dickies Women's Stretch Twill Long Short in the same size. The twill shorts are marked "classic fit." In fact, the denim shorts run true to size, but they are not a slim fit. There's plenty of room in the hips and thighs, so don't let that scare you away.
If, like me, you're a bit between sizes, order the smaller size. Otherwise, order your regular size and enjoy jeans in the summer without smothering from the heat.
